TAMPA, Fla. — A Tampa Bay area clothing company is selling apparel highlighting Tampa Bay sports teams.
For the Bay Clothing Company opened in August. Owner Dave Gesacion said they have been busy since Tampa Bay area sports teams are winning.
"Hit some luck for sure with the Lightning making their run to the Cup and the Rays going to the World Series and now with the Bucs and the Super Bowl," said Gesacion.
Gesacion grew up in Youngstown, Ohio.
"Just growing up there and going to games and sporting events. I have been a fanatic since I was a young kid," he said.
He has lived in the Tampa Bay area for the majority of his life and his wife is also a huge sports fan.
"That's one of the things that brought us together was our love of sports and going to events and things. It has been tough not going to games last year, but it's fun doing this and doing something new," said Gesacion.
Gesacion prints his shirts through a local business, Adver-T Screen Printing. He also sets up pop-up stores at different events throughout the community.
"This is built on a love for Tampa Bay, one t-shirt at a time. It has been pretty awesome."
