TAMPA, Fla. — Police are investigating a shooting and carjacking that occurred early Friday morning in Tampa's Seminole Heights neighborhood.
Officers say a man shot another man around 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of E. North Street and N. 10th Street,

The suspect then carjacked the victim's blue BMW and drove off.
Detectives say the gunman abandoned the car less than a mile away at Mac's Motel on N. Nebraska Avenue and then ran off.
Police searched for the suspect but could not locate him. They have not released any description of the man they are looking for.
Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital. He is expected to survive.
