Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has launched a new system that they're hoping will make calls safer for everyone.
The new online registration system is called "Project Safe Encounter."
Hillsborough residents can register themselves or their family members who suffer from Alzheimer's, blindness, autism, down syndrome, deafness, and other disabilities that affect how people interact with and respond to law enforcement officers.
Deputies can then use that information if they respond to a call involving the registered person or address.
The program is available in English and Spanish.
