BRANDON, Fla. — Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating a homicide Sunday night at the Lake Kathy Apartments complex in Brandon.
Witnesses called 911 around 8:45 p.m. after hearing gunfire outside.
When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered the body of a Hispanic man in the parking lot in the 2200 block of Kendall Springs Court.
Authorities believe the victim is in late 20s but have not identified him or any possible suspect or motive.
"Detectives are currently processing evidence and interviewing residents to determine who's behind this attack that left a man dead and a family grieving," said Sheriff Chad Chronister.
