HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A convicted sexual predator hired to paint a home was arrested after allegedly exposing himself and touching a four-year-old.

Leonard Braudaway, 56, was hired to paint the interior of the house. After the incident he left the scene in his vehicle but was later located by deputies.

Braudaway is a convicted sexual predator currently on probation for failing to register as a sexual predator. He was arrested and charged with Lewd and Lascivious Molestation and violation of parole.

He was a subcontracter hired by General Punchout and Warranty.

The owner of the company says his company has been in business 15 years and never had a problem. Braudaway is the brother-in-law of another employee.

"We would never ever imagine someone would do a heinous crime like that," the owner said.

He told ABC Action News he was appalled and really frustrated about the whole thing.

Leonard was employed for three months.

General Punchout & Warranty now has a new policy to do background checks on everyone.
