HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — Hillsborough County deputies arrested a man accused of exposing himself in the Westchase area on Thursday afternoon.
Sean Dixon, 27, was arrested during a traffic stop while leaving a home on Briardale Lane in Tampa.
Authorities started searching for Dixon on Wednesday after receiving four recent calls for service in reference to an unknown man approaching unsuspecting females and exposing himself in Westchase.
"I've always felt very safe. There are people walking this neighborhood all the time, but to hear that it's very disconcerting," said Pam Callaway.
One neighbor said she noticed a man sitting in a parked car last week and now believes her suspicions might have been right.
"It was inappropriate and he was probably doing what I thought he was doing," said Dawn Feldman.
The incidents happened between January 29 and February 5 in the following locations:
- Montague St & New Parke Rd
- 9000 block of Cavendish Dr
- Parley Dr & Millbank Wy
- West Park Vlg Dr & Cavendish Dr
Dixon was arrested for lewd and lascivious exhibition, authorities say. Records show he was previously arrested for exposure of sexual organs.
