TAMPA, Fla. — Three puppies were stolen from a Hillsborough County pet store last week.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is searching for two men who broke into All About Puppies located at 13705 North Dale Mabry Hwy. in Tampa.
Deputies said the individuals stole two French Bulldogs and an English Bulldog.
"They were in and out within 20 seconds. They went directly to the cages that they were looking for and we definitely think it was a planned out thing," said Daniela Coffey, an employee at All About Puppies.
The burglary happened just before 5 a.m. on Friday. Officials say two men broke the front glass door of the store and stole a four-month-old black and white female French Bulldog named "Darla," a two-month-old tan male French Bulldog named "Owa," and a three-month-old merle female English Bulldog named "Patches."
The suspects fled the scene toward an unknown location.
All About Puppies is offering a $5,000 reward for each puppy returned to them.
The pet store released the following statement:
"We implore the public to assist us in finding Patches, Darla and Owa Owa. Each of them is a unique color and we believe their uniqueness will help get them identified by the public and get them safely back home. We are offering a $5,000.00 reward for each puppy that is returned to us. Please contact Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office if you have any information."
Part of the theft was caught on surveillance video:
"We are asking the public to remain alert and contact our detectives if they know who these suspects are, or if they spot these puppies," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "The thieves are likely trying to sell the stolen puppies, so those with plans to find their next furry friend must do their research before taking one home."
Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at (813) 247-8200.
