8AM UPDATE | The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has released the names of two brothers shot Friday night outside a neighborhood bar on Caso Loma Drive.
An argument involved the owner of The Beer Shed bar and the two brothers turned violent, a Hillsborough sheriff's office release said.
Bar owner Mark Sullivan, 57, told deputies he pulled the trigger of a .380 caliber handgun after he saw one of the men carrying a baseball bat, the sheriff's office said.
Stephan M. Long, 69, of Riverview, suffered a chest wound. Jeffrey S. Long, 55, also of Riverview, was shot in the shoulder. Both men were taken to Tampa General Hospital, where they were last listed in critical condition.
No charges have been filed.
Sheriff's detectives are consulting with the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office on what will happen next. The investigation continues.
ORIGINAL STORY | HCSO detectives are on scene investigating an incident that left two men with gunshot wounds in Riverview.
Officials say two adult brothers and the owner of The Beer Shed on 11222 Caso Loma Drive got into a confrontation outside of the bar before 6:30 p.m.
One of the brothers was armed with a baseball bat when he was shot with a pistol in the arm. The other brother intervened and was then shot in the chest.
Both were taken by ambulances to Tampa General Hospital. At this time, their medical conditions are unknown.
No other patrons were injured, according to officials.
No one has been arrested and detectives are still investigating.
