BRANDON, Fla.-- Best Buy opened its doors at 5:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving night. Dozens waited outside for their turn to shop more than four hours after its Brandon store first opened its doors.
"I was a little surprised, but I think it's more about them controlling the crowds," said Melissa Goodhead.
Newlyweds from Jacksonville told us they're looking to buy a TV. Best Buy was their second stop on Thursday night.
"We don't need one, but we want one! It's Black Friday! Does anyone need anything?" said David Herington.
Besy Buy offered sale prices hours before Black Friday arrived. Shoppers grabbed kitchen appliances, televisions, electronics, and DVDs.
"Xbox for $189. A 55" TV for $279. Games for the kids. Apple watch is on sale, good deals," said Mark Sherman.
Melissa Goodhead says it's a tradition to shop with her sisters and mom in matching t-shirts.
"I think it's fun. There's a lot of energy. It's the start to the Christmas season," said Goodhead.
Best Buy re-opens at 8:00 a.m. on Black Friday.
