HOMOSASSA SPRINGS, Fla. -- People visiting Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park this Memorial Day got the chance to thank military members the old fashioned way.
Visitors to the park are not only getting the chance to see wildlife, but they're getting a chance to say thank you to active military members.
Visitor are encouraged to write on the cards that will be sent to active duty military members with ties to Citrus County.

"They don’t get the thanks that they should from anybody. They’re the prize of America and they make us what we are," said Joshua Hunter.
The park is also accepting donations for a local homeless shelter for veterans.
