Information released by FHP stated that a 2010 Toyota Prius was traveling west on Fulton Avenue when its 57-year-old driver lost control of the car at a curve in the road.

Once the car went off the road, it struck an embankment and became airborne before colliding with a tree. The impact caused the car to rotate, crash into the home on Fulton Avenue and then catch fire.

"I said oh my God, a car was hitting the side of the house. I thought it was something from a movie," said John Caban, a neighbor.

FHP confirmed that the driver died from his injuries, and the home has extensive damage. Troopers said the two people inside the home are okay.

"I was concerned about the people in the house. I found out the kids were in school and the parents, I got to see them, they're okay so I was concerned about them. I was happy they weren't injured and then of course I felt bad for the driver because I heard he passed away," said Caban.
