SPRING HILL, Fla. — Braden Krueger was already leery of germy shopping cart handles.
"I don't even want a common cold," says Krueger.
The 17-year-old from Spring Hill wasn't pleased when the pandemic hit and stores said they were out of wipes for customers to clean up carts, .
"That's a problem," Krueger says. "That's not going to flatten the curve."
So Braden took matters into his own hands.
He invented the rather fashionable "Germ Buffer."
Mine is plaid-colored!
The Germ Buffer is made of a long piece of split foam with a cloth slip cover. It fits over shopping cart handles, protecting your hands and health.
Each Germ Buffer cost $12.99. Additional cloth covers are $5.99.
Braden has sold hundreds of them so far.
With coronavirus numbers spiking yet again, he plans of making and selling a lot more.
