The Hernando County Sheriff's Office, along with officers from the City of Brooksville Police Department and firefighters from both Hernando County Fire Rescue and Brooksville Fire Department, responded to two bomb threats at the Hernando County courthouse on Tuesday.
When the first bomb threat was being investigated, the Sheriff posted a video on the Hernando County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
The call for the first bomb threat came in at 10:04 a.m. and the second threat was received at 12:10 p.m.
Sheriff Nienhuis saio all employees, any inmates, jury members and judges had been evacuated safely while deputies searched the building. Traffic around the area has been affected.
Deputies conducted thorough checks of the building and grounds and all searches yielded negative results. The investigation continues.
