A Hernando County man has been arrested for reportedly cyberstalking his ex-girlfriend after she repeatedly asked him to stop trying to contact her.

Daniel Lee Poulos, 27, was arrested and charged with stalking on November 10, 2016.

According to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office Affidavit, Poulos and the victim ended their 5-year relationship on November 6, 2016. Since then, Poulos has reportedly called the victim, begging her to call and talk to him.

On November 9, 2016, Poulos called his ex from his house phone and cell phone approximately 200 times and left approximately 11 voicemails. The victim told him to stop trying to contact her and blocked his phone number but he continued to call and text her by using free texting applications. He used Facebook messenger to send 14 messages in more than one hour.

Poulos was arrested and admitted to calling and texting the victim. He told deputies he was heartbroken and just wanted to talk to his ex-girlfriend.

Poulos was held at the Hernando County Jail without incident and released with no bond.

He will face a judge on December 7 at 9 a.m.
