BROOKSVILLE, Fla. — Hernando County officials are investigating after they discovered a marijuana grow house while executing a search warrant on Monday.
Hernando County Sheriff's Office Vice and Narcotics Unit found 26 marijuana plants, almost 100 pounds of plant material and equipment used to cultivate the plants.
All of the plants were between five and six feet tall.
The home is located at 26201 Whipperwill Street in Brooksville. Deputies were originally there on suspicion of power diversion.
Officials didn't find anyone in the home and say it was only being used to grow marijuana.
An investigation is underway.
