HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. -- Two teenagers were airlifted to the hospital after a boat caught on fire Saturday morning.
Emergency crews responded to a call of a boat fire at the Hernando Beach Boat Ramp on Caliente Street a little after 8:45 a.m. According to the Hernando County Fire Rescue, five family members were reportedly on board and four of them suffered burns.
The two teens who were airlifted to Tampa General Hospital are being treated for serious burns.
The fire was contained to the family's boat, firefighters say.
The fire remains under investigation.
