FLORIDA — It looks like red tide is creeping back into some Florida beaches.

A look at Florida Fish and Wildlife's latest red tide current status map shows low and medium concentrations off Fort Myers Beach and the Collier County coast.

All other testing sites around the state show no red tide.

Overall, summer 2019 has been largely red tide-free, in contrast to summer 2018, in which a large red tide outbreak plagued beaches in Southwest Florida, the state’s east coast and the panhandle.
