Everything you need to know about early voting in the Florida primary in Polk County

The 2018 election will be a big one in Florida. A U.S. Senate seat, the governor position, numerous seats in the state legislature and some referendums are on the ballot.

The Florida primary is quickly approaching on August 28.

We've all been there on election day, waiting in long lines to vote. But early voting is becoming more and more popular.

As long as you are a Polk County resident, you can vote at ANY early voting site in the county.

Here is a list of locations where you can vote early in Polk County: Early voting is open here from Saturday, Aug. 18-Saturday, Aug. 25 from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

To eliminate delays, please bring photo and signature identification (example: Driver's license, Florida ID, Military ID, Student ID, US Passport) when you vote early.  According to Florida Law, if you are unable to provide photo and signature ID you will be issued a provisional ballot.
