An app just launched in Tampa Bay that hopes to save you money at local gas stations.
GetUpside is now available throughout Florida and offers up to $.25 off a gallon of gas.
The app is similar to Ibotta, which can save you money on groceries.
When you open up the app you'll see a list of gas stations and the discount they're offering. Claim the location you want to use, swipe your card and pump your gas. When you're done, print the receipt and upload it to the GetUpside app. Within 24 hours, GetUpside will let you know if your receipt has been accepted.
"There's not a lot of access to public transportation. You just spend a lot of money on gas and there's a lot of people in Florida and our goal is to help as many people as possible save money," explains Wayne Lin, Co-creator of the app.
We're told right now they partner with about 380 gas station in Tampa Bay and 1,500 in the state.
The app is free and available for download on Apple or Android devices.
