U.S. Postal Service reveals new Sesame Street stamps for 50th anniversary

Sesame Street has been a staple on television for 50 years, and to honor the beloved show the U.S. Postal Service unveiled new Sesame Street stamps.

"For the last 50 years, it has provided educational programming and entertainment for generations of children throughout the country and around the world," their website reads.

The postal service calls the show, "one of the most influential and beloved children’s television shows."

The art on the stamps includes photographs of 16 Muppets: Big Bird, Ernie, Bert, Cookie Monster, Rosita, The Count, Oscar the Grouch, Abby Cadabby, Herry Monster, Julia, Guy Smiley, Snuffleupagus, Elmo, Telly, Grover and Zoe. They were designed by art director Derry Noyes.

In addition, they also unveiled new tyrannosaurus rex stamps and spooky silhouette stamps.

The T-rex stamps were designed by art director Greg Breeding with original artworks by Julius T. Csotonyi, a scientist and paleoartist.
