CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Two people were shot following a graduation ceremony in Clayton County, Georgia on Friday night.
The shooting took place in the parking lot outside of the Clayton County Performing Arts Center located at 2530 Mt Zion Parkway in Jonesboro. Many people were leaving following the Perry Learning Center graduation ceremony.
The Clayton County Police Department has been asked to conduct the investigation into the shooting at Mt. Zion but ALL media inquiries will be handled by the Chief of the Clayton County School Police Department.

Police say that an argument broke out in the parking lot, which led to two individuals being shot. WSB-TV is reporting two women were shot, one in the leg, another multiple times in the chest. One person is reportedly deceased.
Initial reports indicate that the victims are not students.
Police have not indicated whether or not the shooter is in custody.
