Meghan Markle released a statement early Thursday morning announcing her father, Thomas Markle, would not be attending the Royal Wedding.

This news comes shortly after Thomas announced he wasn't going to be attending the wedding due to a paparazzi scandal and his health, but then he announced he still wanted to come to walk Meghan down the aisle.
She said "I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health."
The statement was released on the Kensington Palace Twitter page just before 6:30 a.m. EDT Thursday.

She thanked everyone "who has offered generous messages of support. Please know how much Harry and I look forward to sharing our special day with you on Saturday."
