ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Former Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Tommy Pham is recovering at the hospital after being stabbed in San Diego over the weekend.
Pham was taken to the hospital after being attacked in the lower back, according to the San Diego Padres, his current team. The Las Vegas native is in good condition and is expected to be OK.
Police are searching for the suspects involved in the incident.
Pham, 32, played for the Rays from 2018 to 2019 before he and Jake Cronenworth were both traded to the Padres for Hunter Renfroe, Xavier Edwards and a player to be named later.
