A #BroomChallenge is sweeping social media.
Literally!
People are taking to social media to try and make a broom stand upright without anyone holding it. The Tampa Police Department joined in on the fun as it shared a video of a broom successfully standing upright in the kitchen.

Folks on Reddit are claiming that NASA published a post saying people can get the broom to stand upright because of the earth's gravitational pull. As of Tuesday morning, NASA have not confirmed the allegations and our chief meteorologist Denis Phillips took to Twitter to say those claims are not true.
"Not trying to burst your bubble, but it's just the stiffness of the bristles that makes the broom stand," Phillips explained on social media.
