3.6 magnitude earthquake rattles Detroit area

An earthquake has rattled southeast Michigan and parts of Canada.

According to the USGS, the epicenter of the earthquake was Amherstburg, Canada, which is just on the other side of the Detroit River from Michigan. Preliminary readings put the earthquake at 3.6 on the Richter scale.

So far police in both Michigan and Canada are saying there are no reports of damage or injuries.
