St. Petersburg radio station, 99.5 WQYK is hosting a celebration of life for Dave McKay on Thursday, August 11 at the Mahaffey Theater.
McKay passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 4 and was found by one of his co-workers after he didn't show up for his morning shift on the Dave & Veronica Show on WQYK.

McKay's real name is Steve Ehmke. He was 55-years-old.
The radio station is asking fans, family and friends to join them as they tell stories and show Dave the love from all of the QYK family.
The doors at Mahaffey Theater will open at 4:30 p.m.
