The ABC Action News I-Team has won a first place National Headliner Award in the broadcast category for business and consumer reporting.
I-Team Reporter Jackie Callaway, photographer Matt McGlashen and producer Erin Smith won the award for investigations into unexplained car fires in Kia and Hyundai vehicles. The investigative reports over more than two years led the automakers to issue recalls and prompted federal regulators to open inquiries.
