At about 2:25 p.m. Thursday, a Hernando County Fire Rescue crew responded to a call in reference to students being burned on a school bus, Hernando County Fire Rescue Division Chief Alex Lopez said in a news release.

When the rescue unit arrived, the firefighters found about  35 students from Weeki Wachee High School had evacuated the bus. Two students had minor superficial burns, the release states.
