A photograph posted on the Siesta Key Facebook page this week is starting to go viral, but many are skeptical of its authenticity.
The photo was posted Wednesday and is credited to photographer Jack Drost, who says he spotted a bobcat as he walked along the beach on Siesta Key.
Drost says the photo was taken in the Crescent Beach area, near Point of Rocks.
Several people responded to the photo online, saying they've seen bobcats around the island before, just not on the beach.
However the photo has many critics online, saying it looks photoshopped, and that the cat in the image looks more like a panther, which would be an extremely unlikely sighting on the beach.
