A shooting at the Flats Apartments at 4200 E. Fletcher Ave. in Tampa claimed the life of a man Saturday night, officials said.
The victim, whose name was not released, was shot about 9:45 p.m. Saturday, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
He was taken to Florida Hospital Tampa, where he later died of his injuries.
There is no threat to the general public, deputies said in the news release.
Witnesses are cooperating. Deputies are not searching for any suspects.
Detectives are conducting interviews and awaiting a search warrant.
