A Tampa Bay area couple started giving police Christmas bags.
The gifts were to show how much the officers were appreciated.
The idea worked so well the couple, Chris and Ariel Hunt of Lakeland, plans to show their gratitude to police officers all year round.
Chris Hunt would take it easy on weekends. Not anymore.
His new addiction has taken over.
"They go out everyday and put their lives on the line," Chris Hunt said.
To let them know how much the 25-year-old Lakeland native appreciates what the officers do, he and his wife, Ariel, a third-grade teacher, are delivering thank you gifts to the officers.
The Hunts wants to repay even more first responders. They will start b persuading other business owners to pitch in to provide gifts and donations.
