TAMPA, Fla. — Two I-Team Investigations made it on the latest episode of Hasan Minhaj’s Netflix show “Patriot Act.”
In the episode, "Student Loans," which debuted on Netflix Sunday, "Minhaj looks at how the federal government turned the Department of Education into the largest bank in America in terms of loans, and examines the department's relationship with loan servicers," according to the Patriot Act Youtube page.
About five minutes into the episode, Minhaj's show used a clip, which included anchors Wendy Ryan and Jamison Uhler, of an I-Team investigation that looked into the number of health care workers who lost their license to practice in Florida because they couldn't repay their student loans.
"One of the scariest things about student loans is you can't make any mistakes, otherwise you might face some of the most aggressive debt collection practices," Minhaj said before showing the clip.
