LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Whether it's for Florida Standards Assessments, class finals, or just a big test during the year, it can be a challenge for students to find the right way to prepare.
Here are some helpful tips for parents to help their students:
- Tell their students to stay positive, take their time and do their best.
- Review using items like USA Test Prep, Kahn Academy, Compass Learning, etc. Helps with the basics and reviewing the standards.
- Get a good night's sleep and eat well
- Talk with their student about the importance of the tests. They need to pass them to graduate and some count as 30% of their grade. 9th and 10th graders sometimes don't understand the importance until they are in 12th grade still trying to pass the tests.
