Pinellas County
Tarpon Springs 4th of July Picnic
When: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Where: Craig Park, Tarpon Springs

Info: There will be a live band from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you are 16 and older you can enter the hotdog eating contest that takes place at noon. There will be waterslides so don’t forget to bring your bathing suites and towels! Catch some fireworks from 7:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Howard Park afterward.

Info: Enjoy fireworks from downtown St. Pete! The fireworks will be synchronized to music accessible through a free phone app called J&M Displays. Viewing is recommended from Albert Whitted Park, North Straub Park, South Straub Park, North Shore Park, Elva Rouse Park and Flora Wylie Park. Fireworks are scheduled to start at 9 p.m. but can start as early as 8:30 p.m. and as late as 10 p.m. depending on weather.
Rock the Beach in St. Pete

Info: Wake up the kids and head over to Gulfport to participate in Marina’s Fishing Derby or the Free Family Sand Sculpture Contest at 9 a.m. At 6 p.m. the streets will turn red, white and blue with floats. Top it all off with a firework display at 9 p.m.

Venice Independence Day Fireworks

Info: The annual fireworks will be shot from the South Jetty. The Jetty and Jetty Jacks Refreshment Deck will be closed for safety, but the firework display can be viewed on area beaches from Caspersen to Nokomis, as well as from other places around Venice. Boats should be at anchor by 8:30 p.m. to view the show and guests are advised to not bring pets or fireworks.
