Everyday Adventure reporter, Terry Tomlin set sail south of the Skyway bridge to explore Catherine's Florida Charters sailing experience.
There you can charter a sail boat with full crew and go out on the water. There are four sails on the over 53 foot long boat. It had hold six people on board. She originally was on the west coast and was brought over from Washington State. The boat is "like a Cadillac."
The boat weighs in at 50,000 pounds which makes for a smooth and balanced ride. No need to worry about swaying motions that trigger sickness.
The trip can be as long, or as short as you want. Most people take the boat out to Egmont Key where they spend the day shelling and enjoying the natural habitat.
