Bart became famous in 2015 when his owner at the time buried him after he was hit by a car, thinking he was dead.

Five days later, Bart clawed his way out of the grave and returned home. That's how he got the nickname "Zombie Cat."

The situation created a huge custody battle between the Humane Society and the cat's former owner over the past 20 months.

The Humane Society ultimately settled the custody battle out of court, and Bart will be taken home by his new "furever" family on Wednesday afternoon. It's the same family that has been fostering Bart for over a year now.
