Intruder seen by homeowner on surveillance, relative shows up, shoots intruder

Tampa Police say they responded to a shooting at 1713 North B Street in Tampa just before 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

The owner of the residence was reportedly watching their surveillance camera on their phone when they saw an intruder enter the home while no one was home.

She called 911 when she saw the person in her house and then called a family member who lives 2 blocks away. 

The family member showed up at the house and reportedly shot the intruder. 

Police say the suspect has suffered serious injuries due to the shooting and is currently being treated at a local hospital. 

The shooting is under investigation.
