TAMPA, Fla. — It is one of the most dreaded chores — grocery shopping. It can especially be taxing for people with kids.

But, some Tampa Bay area stores offer free grocery pick-up service. It will not cost you anything extra to get what you were already going to buy and you can do all the shopping right from the comfort of your couch.

Walmart offers a free curbside pick-up service. You can use their website or app. Load your cart with everything you need. Then choose your pick-up time (which is usually at least 6 hours later), a location and check out. Keep in mind there is a minimum purchase.

An employee will do the shopping for you. Walmart will tell you when your order is ready.

All you need to do is check-in on the app and an employee will meet you at the store with all your groceries. You don't even have to get out of your car. If you are not satisfied with an item, they will exchange it for a new one, too.

Good news for those Amazon Prime members, too. Whole Foods and Amazon just launched a pickup service in the Tampa Bay area.

Order your groceries through Prime Now and pick them up at Whole Foods in about an hour or less. That is faster than Walmart. The minimum purchase is $35. You can also pay $4.99 to have it ready in about 30 minutes.

Target also offers free Drive-Up service in the Tampa Bay area. You just have to order using their mobile app.
