A Polk County woman became a millionaire after she bought the winning ticket in a scratch-off game.
The Florida Lottery said Janice Velez, 60, won the top prize of $5 million in the CASHWORD Scratch-Off game.
She claimed her money at the lottery's Tallahassee headquarters as a one-time payment of $3,915,000 on Friday.
Velez bought her ticket from a RaceTrac located at 4541 Pleasant Hill Road in Kissimmee. The gas station will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
