Heavy congestion in a Hillsborough County neighborhood prompted a resident to reach out to our Driving Tampa Bay Forward tipline.
He has tried to get answers but says he was getting nowhere. His commute on Sunlake Boulevard can take 15-20 minutes just to go a mile.
We took his complaints to County officials. The County tells ABC Action News that they are aware of the issues and that improvements could be in the works.
Right now, officials are working to ease the congestion by adding this project to their FY2020 budget.
We hope to have more details on if this project will be funded by Summer 2019.
