Busch Boulevard will soon have more stops for drivers to make things easier for pedestrians trying to cross busy intersections.

Florida Department of Transportation has announced high-intensity pedestrian crosswalks across sections of the road starting in early 2021.

At least four intersections will have the new crosswalks which tell drivers to stop when blinking.

This construction project added new pedestrian hybrid beacons or PHB’s on Busch Blvd at the intersections of Brooks, Pawnee Avenue, and Overlook Drive in Tampa.

Additionally, the existing rapid flashing beacon pedestrian crossing on Busch Blvd. at 12th St. is being replaced with a PHB.
