The Sheriff's Office tells us they had a flashing billboard sign out along Falkenburg Road from November 26 until December 6.

A spokesperson said they made 66 stops for trucks along the stretch of road,

"Of those stops, we found eleven were related to trucks over two axles. About half of the drivers, five were given citations. The other six drivers were given a written warning."

Jim Wilson said he’s been fighting an ongoing problem of truck drivers driving near his residential neighborhood.

Wilson can hear the loud trucks pass by from his backyard and describes the noise as similar to a speedway.

He tells ABC Action News he'd like to see a permanent, larger sign warning truck drivers.

A spokesperson for Hillsborough County tells us they are looking into this, but say they have not had any citizen complaints.
