SARASOTA, Fla. — The City of Sarasota plans to add 16 roundabouts over the next 6 years. Right now, they are looking for new artwork for the center of them.
The City wants to add sculptures at two new locations:
- U.S. 41 at 10th St.
- U.S. 41 at 14th St.
The city says to enhance aesthetics, art will be placed in the center of the new roundabouts. The most recent artwork is Bravo. You can find it at Orange Avenue and Ringling Boulevard.
The sculptures will be funded by the public art fund and will become part of the city's permanent collection. Each project has a $150,000 budget.
The deadline to apply is February 28.
