Right now, the Florida Department of Transportation is working on improvements to the Westshore corridor. They're hoping to improve the I-275/SR 60 interchange and I-275 from east of the Howard Frankland Bridge to Lois Avenue.

Officials believe the finished product will help with congestion relief.

UPCOMING CLOSURES:

Northbound I-275 closed between SR 60 and Lois Avenue: Tuesday, March 3 from 9 p.m. to 4.a.m. Wednesday, March 4.

"Our best advice is for drivers to choose alternate routes that aren’t part of the detour to reduce their drive-time delays. That may include using Gandy Boulevard or the Courtney Campbell (SR 60) to avoid taking northbound I-275 over the Howard Frankland Bridge and being forced into the detour route," FDOT said.

Westbound SR 60 closed under I-275: Thursday, March 5 from 10:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. Friday, March 6.

Both directions of I-275 closed between SR 60 and West Shore Boulevard: Tuesday night (March 10).
