To the Driving Tampa Bay Forward Team;

It was just a few months ago that a depression which had formed on W Idlewild Ave between Himes Ave and North Dale Mabry was repaired. The street was just finished with resurfacing about a month ago. It wasn't 2 weeks after that that another depression formed IN THE SAME SPOT as the last repair. It is right by a manhole cover for water box. Why wasn't this repaired correctly in the first place and how long will this one take? Everyday you drive by they are still digging and now the hole is completely filled with water again. Can you find out what is going on with that street?

We reached out to the City of Tampa to ask about what's going on. We found out this is a wastewater repair for a planned project to address a large offset pipe.

The repairs were significantly larger than anticipated but, good news, the construction should be cleared up this week.

It will take crews about two weeks to complete milling and overlay and get that road back to normal.
