HUDSON, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol has released new images connected to a deadly hit-and-run investigation.
Pedestrian dies in hit-and-run accident on U.S. 19 in Hudson, adding to deadly week
Jamie Patterson, 46, was killed Wednesday night walking across U.S. 19, south of State Road 52 in Hudson.
FHP investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying two men seen at Brass Flamingo earlier that night, located a couple miles from where the crash happened.
"They hit my daughter," said Michael Cisneros. "They hit her hard because she died at the scene and then it seems like they didn't even turn around, they just kept going."
Patterson's parents are speaking out for the first time about their loved one's death. They hope someone knows something that can bring them justice.
"You're not supposed to bury your children," said Velma Cisneros. "They're supposed to bury you."
Investigators say the two men in question were seen leaving the strip club in a tuxedo black 2015 Ford Taurus Limited.
"Please do the right thing and turn yourself in," said Jamie's daughter, Shirli Brazzel. "We just need some answers in order for us to get closure."
"You're not going to be able to hide much longer, especially with video, it's as simple as that," said Michael Cisneros.
Troopers say witnesses lost sight of the car responsible after it turned right, going east on S.R. 52.
Anyone with information regarding the hit and run crash is asked to call FHP at (813) 558-1800 or Crime Stoppers at 800-873-TIPS.
