- DOH reports 8 new deaths and 231 new COVID-19 cases in Florida.
- Total positive cases in Florida is now at 5,704 (5,489 Florida residents + 215 non-Florida residents).

- Tampa Mayor Jane Castor warned the public to keep an eye out for people impersonating a law-enforcement officers. She said there are imposters asking people, especially the elderly, for their ID or valuable personal information.
- Mayor Castor also said to keep an eye out for scams involving the government’s coronavirus relief checks. She said these scammers are targeting the elderly.

- St. Pete mayor Rick Kriseman suspends in-person city services. He said online and phone services from the city are still available.
- Kriseman also says he does not want to close public parks during Pinellas County's "safer-at-home" order. However, he warned the public "to not push it" and leave him with no choice but to shut them down if too many people pack the parks.

- Gov. DeSantis said about 2,000 rapid 45 minute tests will be sent to South Florida
- A Florida checkpoint on I-10 coming from Louisiana is in place. Gov. DeSantis hopes to have a similar checkpoint on I-95 for people coming to Florida from New York.
- Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says anyone showing symptoms of COVID-19 will not be allowed to board domestic flights or intercity trains.
- Number of confirmed coronavirus infections worldwide has topped 600,000.

- A 67-year-old Pinellas resident diagnosed with COVID-19 passed away. This is the first COVID-19 death in Pinellas.
- Governor DeSantis issues health advisory for those 65 years old and over as well as those with underlying conditions of any age to stay home for the next two weeks
- COVID-19 testing sites will open at Raymond James Stadium on Wednesday.
