TAMPA, Fla. -- More COVID-19 testing will be available for Hillsborough County residents starting next week.

Hillsborough County says they will be partnering with the state to do 1,000 tests a day at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

That will take testing in the county from nearly 5,000 tests a week to about 10,000.

County leaders say this should significantly help reduce the wait times for people who want to get tested.

Testing days at the stadium will increase to five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
