TAMPA, Fla. -- BayCare is making changes to its urgent care services to better serve the Tampa Bay area community during the coronavirus pandemic.
In a press release, the company said seven of its urgent care locations are now only serving people with upper respiratory-related symptoms.

Those symptoms include:
- Cough
- Cold
- Sore throat
- Shortness of breath
Patients with those symptoms can see a medical provider Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Saturday through Sunday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
The locations are:
- BayCare Urgent Care (Countryside)
- BayCare Urgent Care (Largo)
- BayCare Urgent Care (NE St. Pete)
- BayCare Urgent Care (South Tampa)
- BayCare Urgent Care (South Tampa)
- BayCare Urgent Care (Riverview)
- BayCare Urgent Care (Haines City)

BayCare is doing its best to serve the community in this time of need,” said Jim Cote, senior vice president for Ambulatory Services at BayCare. “We’re continually adjusting our urgent care footprint to safeguard our clinical teams from potential exposure to COVID-19, maximize resources and preserve personal protection equipment.”
The following urgent care locations are open for people seeking care for injuries or non-upper respiratory-related illnesses. They are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Saturday through Sunday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
