Tampa YMCA teams up with Hillsborough Education Foundation for school supply drive

TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa YMCA is teaming up with the Hillsborough Education Foundation to get school supplies for more than 150,000 students in lower-income families.

Starting Monday, supplies can be dropped off at 11 YMCA locations across Hillsborough County. The drop-off ends on Sunday, August 30.

Supplies needed:

  • Backpacks
  • Calculators
  • Children’s Books (K-12)
  • Compasses/Protractors
  • Composition Books
  • Copy Paper
  • Crayons (24 Count)
  • Dividers
  • Dry Erase Markers
  • Glue Sticks
  • Headphones/Earbuds
  • Highlighters
  • Index Cards
  • Large Pink Erasers
  • Pencils
  • Pens
  • Pocket Folders
  • Rulers
  • Scissors
  • Washable Markers

Teachers are also in need of some personal care items for students like deodorant, feminine care products, hand sanitizer, toothbrush/toothpaste, soap/shampoo and tissue boxes/packs.
